• The Premium
  • Not purchasing available coverage
  • Poor service at time of claim

The most expensive of these three is the second item. Having purchased the wrong coverage- or not enough will cost you 10's to 100's of thousands of dollars- or more.

The next most expensive is poor service at the time of a claim. Unresponsive or argumentative claims people or poor procedures will cost you great emotional turmoil (at the worst possible time) as well as 5-15% of the claim.

The smallest part of insurance cost is the premium. Yet that is what most focus on instead of coverage and service. Saving 15% could cost you everything you own- or will own.

Behind every coverage number in an insurance contract are 100's of words that determine if the numbers will work for you. If you have not read your contract & understand it, find someone who will.
